Hi, I am Julia Minisi and I am the current Chapter President of the Theta Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi at Florida Tech. When I first arrived at Florida Tech, I had no idea where to even start with all of the clubs and organizations to choose from. I had no previous intentions in joining a sorority at all, until I met my soon to be sisters. Meeting these girls has been the absolute best part of my college experience. I have no idea what I would do without their genuine support every step of the way.
Our Chapter at Florida Tech consists of 25 active sisters and together we strive to uphold Alpha Phi’s values of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Loyalty, and Character Development. We are always there for each other, through thick and thin, no matter the time of day. From receiving a big sister, giving back to the community, attending formals/events, supporting each other through college and beyond, sisters are there to create unforgettable memories.
As a chapter we excel academically and hold the highest GPA of all of Greek Life at Florida Tech. Our Philanthropy is the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports and donates to women's heart health. By hosting philanthropy events like our Red Dress Casino Night, together we raise money for research and financial support for those affected by heart disease. Unfortunately, heart disease is the number one killer of women to this day but this resonates close with our sisters and we take our philanthropy very seriously.
I have made the best memories at Florida Tech because of Alpha Phi. Evidently, I would do anything for my sisters and this chapter because I know the favor would be returned. I have gained so much life experience and have learned so many skills in order for me to get through college. Alpha Phi has given me the opportunity to grow and prepare for graduation. I encourage you to check out the rest of our social media to learn more about us and see how great of a sisterhood this truly is!
